At SPS, we believe that building is about more than just materials and structures – it is about taking responsibility for tomorrow's world.
For more than 50 years, we have been developing and producing technically advanced lacquers, wall paints and decorative plasters that provide durable protection for surfaces and building components. Our products extend the life of materials and thus contribute to lower maintenance costs for real estate. In this way, we combine innovation with impact.
The demand for sustainable solutions is growing
Governments are increasingly encouraging sustainable construction. At the same time, construction partners and private individuals are making more conscious choices in their use of materials. This trend is set to continue – and rightly so.
SPS plays an active role in this. Together with our customers and partners, we continue to develop products that make a positive contribution to our immediate living environment – for today and for future generations.
Sustainability does not stop at the product
We not only choose sustainable products, but also a sustainable way of working. This can be seen, for example, in the construction of our new distribution centre in Genk.
The building complies with the BREEAM standard – an internationally recognised standard for sustainable construction, which takes into account factors such as energy consumption, choice of materials, water management, ecology and health. For us, this was not just an aspiration, but an absolute minimum requirement.
A future-proof building – with respect for the environment
Our new distribution centre is state-of-the-art and future-proof. But sustainability is also in the details:
for example, in how we handled nature at the construction site. The grasses that originally grew on the site were carefully relocated instead of destroyed. This allowed us to preserve biodiversity in the region – a conscious choice that demonstrates how far we go to limit our ecological footprint.
